Pretty much, but Bannerlord makes improvements to the engine and base game mechanics which make it worth it and better in many ways than Warband. In the long run it will definitely be better in almost every way, and right now unless you're playing heavily modded games or a lot of MP, I'd say making the upgrade is already worth it.
When joining a kingdom, you have a ready-made set of lords and troops that you can draw from to create armies, allowing you to do (fight) whatever the hell you want. You have less control over the kingdom, your own fiefs, and policy, but it still has fantastic gameplay. When creating a kingdom, you start from scratch.
Honestly my advice, Id wait a bit. Bannerlord is in a great state right now yes, But honestly if you want the best experience, id still recommend warband over it as there's more content available to it modded wise. Personally the lack of more bandits and items like feasts and so on really make bannerlord just feel more like a combat cycler than
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is a strategy action role-playing video game developed and published by TaleWorlds Entertainment, and co-published by Prime Matter. [1] It is a prequel to Mount & Blade: Warband, a stand-alone expansion for the 2008 game Mount & Blade. Bannerlord takes place 210 years before its predecessor, with a setting inspired
Bannerlord. I’m still in the early game. I have some companions like a medicine guy, engineer ,scout and fighters. They don’t really seem to do anything but I’m assuming I need to assign some sort of role I think. In Warband your party skills would stack with the highest person’s skill + second highest person’s skill as well.
If you like warband, then bannerlord might be worth it to support. If it's not exactly your cup of tea but you think it's something you could enjoy once and a while wait for improvement. If you hate it, don't buy bannerlord.
In my opinion, bannerlord vanilla is better than warband. But in bannerlords current state, warband is still better as it still has a thriving multiplayer, and the mods still make the game. Even the dlcs like viking conquest and NW. If you want specifically vanilla, or minimal mods, then Bannerlord is better.
Only worth it for the single player. You can play multiplayer, when it's working, but that's the focus of the game. #2. ~ Fabulous ~ Dec 3, 2022 @ 3:18am. yes if you like pure sandbox. #3. RJboxer Dec 3, 2022 @ 8:34pm. Originally posted by Urmel: its only worth for single player!
